The family-run company Ulrich Rotte Anlagenbau und Fördertechnik GmbH from Salzkotten-Niederntudorf can look back on three decades in business.
On July 5, 1994, Ulrich Rotte and his wife Brigitte founded the company at Brockensklee 32, which is still the headquarters of the medium-sized company today. The entrepreneurial couple started out in the factory halls of a former car repair shop with systems for automatic feeding in PCB production. A newspaper report from 1994 shows that the company has been active internationally from the very beginning: "As part of the latest economic agreement with China, Rotte is building a conveyor system that will be delivered to China once it is completed." Rotte began with six employees and two trainees. Today, the steadily growing production automation company has 90 employees and an annual turnover of 16 million euros.
"As a process automation company, we are active in a wide range of industries, such as renewable energies, the furniture industry and technical laminates. We automate the production lines of well-known medium-sized and large companies worldwide and are always on the move as an innovator, because each system is individually designed to meet the customer's needs," explains Benedikt Rotte, Managing Partner.
In 2019, the company and its research partners received the NRW Innovation Award for Craftsmanship for an intelligent workpiece carrier."Research is an important pillar for Rotte. After all, the technical innovations we develop flow directly
directly into our daily work. That's why we regularly work with research partners on a wide variety of projects," explains Dr. Franz-Barthold Gockel, Managing Director. "The research networks are just as important to us as the knowledge gained.
knowledge gained. We, and German industry as a whole, can only remain competitive if we conduct research and develop innovative products for national and international markets."
As an award-winning family-friendly company in the Paderborn district, Rotte attaches great importance to the compatibility of family and career. This is also demonstrated by the construction of a four-stream daycare center, which was opened in April 2024 in cooperation with the district sports association. The company has also just received the OWL 2024 Future Prize for Craftsmanship for its special social commitment.
