Environment Minister hands over grant notification

As part of our research activities at PAD Innovation Airport, Brigitte Rotte went to Düsseldorf together with our research partners Dr. Benjamin Nagel, Sebastian Prinz and Christopher Godejohann.
The state of NRW is funding innovative projects for sustainable mobility and logistics with a total of 14.2 million euros. From drones and autonomous streetcars to autonomous road sweepers and innovative software solutions.

Minister Oliver Krischer from the Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Transport of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia personally hands over the funding decision for our joint project AGfürNBA = Automated Baggage Handling for Narrow Body Aircraft.

“As part of the NeueWege.IN.NRW programme, we are developing solutions for automated and fully digitalized baggage handling at airports in this project. This research work fits very well into our technically broad-based business orientation and also serves as a transfer project for many other digital innovations in our company,” emphasizes Brigitte Rotte.

We are looking forward to the next 3 (research) years at PAD Innovation Airport with verlinked GmbH, Fraunhofer IEM and insensiv GmbH.
