{"id":11040,"date":"2020-02-06T08:55:52","date_gmt":"2020-02-06T07:55:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ulrich-rotte.de\/aktuelles\/wireless-intelligent-sensor-systems\/"},"modified":"2020-02-06T08:55:52","modified_gmt":"2020-02-06T07:55:52","slug":"wireless-intelligent-sensor-systems","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ulrich-rotte.de\/en\/news\/wireless-intelligent-sensor-systems\/","title":{"rendered":"Wireless intelligent sensor systems"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"newsTeaser\">\n<p><strong>Research project is a central key technology for industry 4.0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"newsContent\">\n<p>In addition to our already award-winning research project <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ulrich-rotte.de\/news\/von-der-handwerkskammer-gewuerdigt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Active force-sensitive workpiece carrier&#8221;<\/a><\/span>, we developed another essential component for Industry 4.0: <strong>&#8220;Wireless intelligent sensor systems for product-based control of industrial production plants&#8221; <\/strong>(short: DiSSproSiP).<\/p>\n<p>This joint research project is one of the subprojects of the framework programme for the promotion of &#8220;Sensor-based electronic systems for applications in industry 4.0 (SElekt I4.0)&#8221; of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our motivation<\/strong><br \/>\nThe megatrend &#8220;Industry 4.0&#8221; is massively driving the improvement of flexibility as well as energy and resource efficiency of today&#8217;s production processes. This is due to increasingly differentiated customer requirements, which require efficient batch size 1 production. This task can be realized by innovative concepts of intelligent controls and networking.  <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our goals<\/strong><br \/>\nThe aim of the project was the development of a wireless, intelligent sensor system for the decentralized, flexible control of the production process on a one-off basis. The sensor system <em>collects<\/em> process data at the point of origin, <em>evaluates<\/em> them independently and <em>makes<\/em> decentralized <em>decisions<\/em> based on central rules. At the same time, it functions as a &#8220;digital docket&#8221; across all production steps and <em>communicates<\/em> with the plant control system. This concept enables the efficient production of individual products. At the same time, it can be modularly adapted to different requirements. Furthermore, the documented real-time monitoring of the production processes ensures holistic quality control.     <\/p>\n<p>The core of the intelligent sensor system consists of a sensor module that is wirelessly supplied with energy. Thus, a main task is the energy-efficient optimization by means of an innovative concept. Due to its design, the sensor can be integrated into new and existing production plants across all industries.  <\/p>\n<table class=\"contenttable\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Our research partners<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The joint research project was supported by institutions from industry and science.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><u><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/new.siemens.com\/global\/de\/unternehmen\/innovationen.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Siemens Corporate Technology<\/a><\/u>,<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.enas.fraunhofer.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><u>Fraunhofer Institute ENAS<\/u><\/span>, <\/a><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.uni-paderborn.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><u>University of Paderborn<\/u><\/a><\/span> and <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><u><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/tagitron.de\/de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">TagITron<\/a><\/u><\/span> were mainly involved in research and development of intelligent signal processing, inductive energy transfer or an integrated RFID reader.
