Above all, there is a lack of holistic knowledge management in manufacturing. The situation is now getting worse because many experts are retiring in the coming years.
This week therefore saw a repeat meeting with Sina Kämmerling from Findiq. The company has its origins in a makeathon of the leading-edge cluster it’s OWL and, after its founding, has developed a novel approach to intelligently integrate knowledge management and assistance systems for machine service.
Communication between man and machine
In an intensive conversation, the participants discussed various questions: How do we bring machine data and human know-how together? How can machine data be evaluated and made usable for operators? How can knowledge be secured before it leaves the company? This is the question that Findiq has been addressing for a year now, supporting companies in the important transfer of knowledge.
“With the Rotte Smart-Factory platform, we set out years ago to make work in your production more transparent and efficient. In order to further advance both solutions, as well as the digital transformation in production, both companies have agreed to start a joint pilot project at a customer in the coming weeks,” explained CEO Dr. Gockel after the meeting.
