Our colleague Ahmad, who, together with his mentor Dr. Franz-Barthold Gockel, can now celebrate his Master’s degree in Mechatronic Systems, shows that a lot is possible with determination, courage and hard work.
Ahmad came to Germany from Syria with a visa in June 2017. In his pocket: a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics from Tischrin University in Latakia. During his first year in Paderborn, he focused on learning German. He received his DSH certificate and began his Master’s degree in Mechatronic Systems at the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences in Lemgo in the winter semester of 2018. Alongside his studies, Ahmad was already working at Rotte as a student trainee with the aim of gaining more practical experience. During this time, he not only carried out his research project, but also wrote his Master’s thesis with us – in German! It is about the “Integration of 6-axis robots in control modeling for virtual commissioning using full signal exchange”.
“Many thanks to Prof. Holger Borcherding, from the Technical University, who supervised my Master’s thesis in mechatronic systems. I would also like to thank Dr. Franz-Barthold Gockel, who supported me in the implementation of this thesis so that I was able to achieve my desired goal,” says Ahmad, visibly relieved and happy after his colloquium.
Ahmad is 35 years old, married and the father of two children. Germany has now become a new home for him.
We are delighted that he will continue to enrich our team and that we will be able to implement exciting projects with him.
