Description:

Alignment stations are an important part of efficient material handling systems. They are used wherever stacked products may have become misshapen due to external influences and need to be brought back into a defined shape for subsequent processes. Exemplary applications can be found in the goods receiving area or in front of a high-bay warehouse.

The system consists of two individual stations that are located in a line and can each process one stack. Thanks to FU-controlled drives, the products are transported safely and without slipping. After the stacks have been stopped in their exact position, they are aligned by means of robustly guided sliders via servo motors without damaging the conveyed products. During this process, collision monitoring is carried out by sensors. When the stacks have been aligned as expected and the weight check has been carried out, the stacks are conveyed onward to enter the high-bay warehouse.

The solid steel frame accommodates the roller conveyors and the centering units and, despite its robustness, is so compact that the stations can be transported, installed and commissioned in a pre-assembled state.
