Benedikt Rotte and Vera Thebille, HR Officer Training & Studies, experienced two days full of new insights at the HR Spotlight of the furniture industry in Löhne.
The high-caliber experts from companies including ASSMANN Büromöbel GmbH & Co. KG, DATEV eG and the baumann group. Whether current HR trends or practical experience reports, the topics of employer branding, digitalization in HR, new work and efficient HR departments were both exciting and instructive.

Just like the tour of the event location: the newly opened furniture industry training factory, which from now on will set new standards in the field of training and further education as a modern training center with a complete production line and unique training infrastructure. The aim is to create a modern training environment in and around the district of Herford with its particularly strong furniture industry and its suppliers. The challenges posed by the need for skilled workers and technological change are a major obstacle to long-term business success, particularly in the wood and furniture industry, and therefore for the East Westphalia-Lippe economic region. For this reason, the project aims to develop approaches for joint activities and approaches to tackle the problem of skilled workers. Stakeholders invested 25 million euros in this project.
