Rotte receives this year's Future Prize from the OWL Future Crafts Foundation.
The motto of this year's award ceremony is "Craftsmanship shapes home". The prize will be awarded to two companies in each of the categories "Commitment to the community" and "Future-oriented construction". One of the two winners in the "Commitment to the community" category is Ulrich Rotte Anlagenbau und Fördertechnik GmbH.
Commitment to the regional community
A delegation led by Peter Eul, Chairman of the Foundation's Board of Trustees and President of the OWL Chamber of Skilled Crafts, and Dr. Jens Prager, Chairman of the Foundation's Board of Directors and Managing Director of the Chamber of Skilled Crafts, visited the company. "The Rotte company is committed to its employees and has the interests of the region firmly in mind," praised Chairman of the Board of Trustees Eul during the company visit. "The Zukunftspreis Handwerk OWL acknowledges the company's generosity and foresight; the future can only be shaped together," explained Dr. Jens Prager.
Innovativ in honorary and daily business
The company always tries to find solutions to ensure a good work-life balance. For this, Rotte Anlagenbau und Fördertechnik has been recognized as a "family-friendly company" for the third time in a row. In 2019, the company received the "Innovationspreis Handwerk NRW" for its progressiveness. The mechanical engineering company impressed with its innovation "Active force-sensitive workpiece carrier". The workpiece carrier automatically adapts to different product variants such as shape, weight or rigidity during production. By selecting the award criteria, the Stiftung Zukunft Handwerk OWL aims to draw attention to the importance of the skilled trades for life in the region. Craft businesses not only shape the economic fabric, but are also bearers of cultural and social values. Another winner in the "Commitment to the community" category is Mattern GmbH, a car dealership with twelve locations in Ostwestfalen-Lippe and headquarters in Bünde. In the "Future-oriented construction" category, Eggersmann GmbH & Co. KG from Marienfeld and Hecker System Holzbau GmbH & Co. KG from Marienmünster were honored.
The official award ceremony will take place on September 17 in the Skylobby at the Gütersloh Theater.
